Police cordoned off a busy town centre road this afternoon. Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended at an incident on Broad Street, in Leek. It is understood that there was an accident near the junction of Broad Street and Cruso Street. A police car blocked the road from the mini-roundabout at the junction of Junction Road, Broad Street and Burton Street. The police tape was in place further up Broad Street. It came as an air ambulance has also landed at Westwood Golf Course this afternoon. One eye-witness told StokeonTrentLive: The air ambulance has landed. There are medics donning hazmat suits and respirators.
