A man has died after police and paramedics were called to a Stoke-on-Trent property.
The emergency services raced to Cromartie Street, in Dresden, shortly before midday to concerns for the welfare of a patient .
AN effort to save a woman in her 60s from the River Severn in Bewdley has been described as heroic work . The woman was reported missing from her home in Bewdley this morning (December 29), before she was seen in the river by West Mercia Police officers at around 11am. Together with specialist officers from Herefordshire & Worcestershire Fire and Rescue Service, the woman was safely rescued from the water near Bewdley Rowing Club. A spokesperson from Herefordshire & Worcestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: Three Water First Responder officers entered the water and were able to reach the woman who was holding onto a branch some twelve feet from the riverbank in fast flowing water, and bring her to the bank.
