EPD Asking For Help To ID Suspects In Catalytic Converter Theft

The Evansville Police Department are asking for the help of the public to identify two men suspected of stealing the catalytic converter from an automobile parked while the owner was working. According to a post made to social media, the EPD received  report on December 18, 2020 that the catalytic converter had been stolen parked at the West Side Walmart while the owner, and employee of the store, was working inside. Thanks to surveillance footage captured by the store the EPD has images of the suspects to release to the public in hopes of capturing them. Police say that the men were seen driving an older model Chevy Malibu and an Impala. Both vehicles reported as green in color and police say the license plates captured on surveillance to not match the vehicles.

Shop With A Cop is a huge success

Courtesy-ISP Sgt. Wheeles COLUMBUS, Ind. – Although 2020 has not been a typical year with many events canceled, it didn’t stop the local “Shop With A Cop” from taking place. The fun-filled day, sponsored by Bartholomew County FOP Lodge #89, began at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Westside Walmart. The program is special for the children who are there but also for the law enforcement agencies that participate. Columbus Police Department officers, Batholomew County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and Indiana State Police (ISP) troopers were able to make it a happy Christmas for over 125 kids who might not have had one otherwise.
