Warren County Emergency Management, along with many other state partners, are encouraging residents to get educated about making a plan for a severe weather event. Emergency Management Coordinator Troy Bass tells KNIA News a simple way to be prepared is to put together an emergency kit.
“Pack water, food, a can opener, things like that. To be safe, we’d like folks to prepare for 72 hours of being isolated, that gives first responders time to get to you because in a disaster area everyone is going to be in a similar situation and can’t all be rescued at the same time.”
