Emergency crews were called out after someone reported seeing a body in the water.
Multiple fire personnel, emergency medical services, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, the Warren County Coroner’s Office, Warren County Emergency Management and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
Warren County Deputy Coroner Dwayne Lawrence was taken out on a boat to assist in the recovery effort. As of 6:38 p.m. he did not know the female’s identity.
Just after he got out of one of rescue boats, law enforcement handed him what appeared to be personnel effects.

Warren County Emergency Management, along with many other state partners, are encouraging residents to get educated about making a plan for a severe weather event. Emergency Management Coordinator Troy Bass tells KNIA News a simple way to be prepared is to put together an emergency kit.
“Pack water, food, a can opener, things like that. To be safe, we’d like folks to prepare for 72 hours of being isolated, that gives first responders time to get to you because in a disaster area everyone is going to be in a similar situation and can’t all be rescued at the same time.”
