NBA Announces NBA All-Star Game Presentation HBCU Elements
The NBA All-Star game is set for Sunday, March 7 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta and will be filled with HBCU-inspired elements. In addition to music, content, and storytelling, the league will spotlight HBCU students alumni through the Michelob Ultra Courtside virtual fan experience, student artwork, in-arena activations, merchandise, and partnerships.
The NBA All-Star 2021 game court will represent academic significance along with the pride and school spirit of HBCU’s and their students. The court design incorporates icons representing the best of HBCU academics, music, and campus life.
Seven artists who currently attended HBCUs will have their custom artwork displayed in-arena, in the players’ hotel, and across NBA platforms. On Sunday (March 7), the NBA hosts the 70th All-Star Game at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Unlike past iterations of the storied event, this one will be vastly different. Instead of an entire weekend, all activities will take place Sunday because of COVID-19 restictions to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
As part of a new initiative, the NBA has pledged $3 million in support of HBCUs and communities impacted hardest by the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, on Sunday, the NBA will pay tribute to HBCUs by spotlighting their students and alumni through the Michelob Ultra Courtside virtual fan experience, student artwork, in-arena activations, merchandise and partnerships.

The NBA 70th All-Star Game will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta Georgia tomorrow. Normally the event lasts a couple of days, but because of COVID-19, everything will be taking place in one day to maintain safety.
In addition to the new safety protocol, the NBA is planning on contributing $3 million to HBCUs and communities that were hit hardest by the coronavirus.
