ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man suspected of planting a tracking device in a woman’s vehicle is pleading not guilty.
Michael Vincent Erickson, 43 of Zumbrota, was arrested in December 2020 and charged with felony stalking and two counts of misdemeanor harassment. Law enforcement says a woman from Marion Township reported that Erickson, with whom she had had a relationship, was repeatedly sending her emails and following her.

A Rochester man was charged with felony stalking after a woman found a tracking device in her vehicle.
Michael Vincent Erickson, 43, was charged Monday morning in Olmsted County District Court with felony stalking and two misdemeanor counts of violating a restraining order. Judge Christina Stevens ordered Erickson released on conditions that he not enter the alleged victim s residence and that he not have contact with her.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 7.
Olmsted County Sheriff s Capt. Scott Behrns said a 43-year-old Marion Township woman reported to deputies about 7 p.m. Saturday that a man, identified as Erickson, has been repeatedly sending her emails in violation of a restraining order.
