Kansas City, MO: Marquee Selections is proud to announce the addition of Abel Mendoza to their growing portfolio of sustainable and family-owned wineries. From San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja, Spain, Abel Mendoza wines have captivated the hearts and taste buds of wine lovers all over the world with their exquisitely crafted wines made from native Rioja varieties.
“We are very excited to have our wines available in the USA again.” says Maite Fernandez, winemaker at Abel Mendoza. “We have heard from lots of wonderful people over the past few years who have been asking where they can find our wines, and we are looking forward to being able to get them back in their wine glasses with the help of the Marquee team.”

Out of the three incumbents whose term expired at the end of 2020, Trustee Jose Ruben Mendoza was the only one who applied to continue serving on the board.
Now former Trustees Damarys Gonzalez and Maite Fernandez opted not to seek the appointment.
Instead, Mendoza was joined by Ismail Dalia and Beatriz Amaro, the latter who is the district testing coordinator at the Hudson County Schools of Technology.
Sources with knowledge of the situation said that they were the only three people who applied to be selected for the vacant, volunteer positions.

“The Board may wish to hold a special meeting, or dedicate a regular meeting, in January 2021 to appoint Board members to fill these vacancies,” according to a memo obtained by HCV.
“This meeting may also be used to handle any other business impacted by the change in the election date and the resulting lack of a reorganization meeting in January 2021.”
On August 7th, 2019, the West New York Board of Commissioners unanimously approved (5-0) a measure to move their school board elections from November to April, which neighboring municipalities Weehawken and North Bergen already do.
