U.S. Marshals arrest MIT researcher wanted for murder of Yale graduate student Kevin Jiang Christine Dempsey, Hartford Courant
U.S. Marshals in Alabama on Friday arrested the MIT researcher police believe is responsible for the February shooting death of Yale graduate student Kevin Jiang in New Haven.
Qinxuan Pan was found in the 400 block of Fairview Avenue in Montgomery and was taken into custody as a fugitive Friday morning, the marshals said. Two federal agencies, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Middle District of Alabama, worked with the local police in Montgomery on the arrest.

A suburban high school is investigating after students took a picture reenacting George Floyd s death
PARK RIDGE, Ill. - There is outrage Thursday over a picture that apparently shows two north suburban high school students recreating the death of George Floyd.
The photo has been making the rounds on social media around Maine South High School in Park Ridge.
It shows a Black teenager posing like he is kneeling on the neck of a white teen. Both are seen laughing in the photo.
Maine South s principal says at least one of the teens involved in the picture is believed to be connected to the school. The school sent a letter to parents calling it an image of hate.
