Confidence in coronavirus vaccines has grown with majority now saying they want it

© Getty Images Recent polling among Americans indicates an increased willingness to get the coronavirus vaccine amid growing confidence in the inoculations and the distribution of a third vaccine approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  This week, President Bidenunveiled a partnership between Merck and Johnson & Johnson to produce the latter’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine, adding that the U.S. will have enough vaccine doses through this and the two-shot inoculations from Pfizer and Moderna to vaccinate every American adult by the end of May.  In studies conducted in recent weeks, Americans have shown an increased willingness to get the vaccine despite initial hesitation at the start of the vaccine rollout. 

Golf legend Jack Nicklaus casts doubt on coronavirus death count

According to Nicklaus, they were asked if the cause of death of their parents could be changed to COVID-19. They declined. “The hospital gets more money with COVID death than they do another death. I’m sure there’s been a lot of that,” said Nicklaus, an 18-time major championship winner. “I don’t think the deaths are a correct number. I hate to say that.” As of writing, the COVID-19 death toll in the United States is pegged at 518,000.

Bigtree, host of the popular health and medical science news series “The HighWire with Del Bigtree,” said that the federal agency already removed the statement on Aug. 27 last year but put it back again shortly after ICAN issued a press release about the change on Jan. 25. The Emmy-award winning producer claimed the statement is inaccurate as no studies could prove that vaccines given to infants do not cause autism.
