As vaccine appointments open to everyone 16 and over in Connecticut Thursday, state officials said more than 100 new pharmacies across the state will start administering the vaccine within the next several days.
With Connecticut officials estimating about half the 1.3 million people age 16 to 44 will rush out for the vaccine, the new pharmacy locations may ease efforts to find appointments as the state works to quickly vaccinate this new group.

ZEELAND, Mich. â A Holland woman is frustrated with her employer, who is not accommodating her medical condition.
She recently got pneumonia and cannot wear a mask for her entire shift. She has the doctorâs note and the voice to prove it.
But Gentex basically told her that a face shield was a no-go. Thatâs when she contacted the FOX 17 Problem Solvers.
STRUGGLING TO BREATHE
âIf COVID wasnât happening, my job does not require this face mask. So, if I didnât have to wear it, Iâd be working,â said Bhree Layton, who s had asthma since she was 18.

No, but seriously; it’s not that complicated.
It’s time to GET TOGETHER.
Spring breaks are hitting us from every direction, forsythia is yellowing and crocuses are popping. Passover was last week, Easter is this weekend, and Ramadan is the week after that. My eldest son Louie recently turned 13, five days later my youngest son George turned 10 and 10 days after that my mom turned, well, older. My daughter’s school just finished two weeks off, in 10 days my sons’ schools will have one week off, in two days everyone will have a day off and in zero days I need everyone to back off.
