The city announced Friday that for the first time in more than 16 months, city residents will be able to access all city buildings when they officially reopen to the public on July 6. Vaccinated visitors won’t be required to wear masks while those who haven’t gotten their shot are “strongly encouraged” to wear a mask when visiting city buildings. Those who do not could be disciplined.
Anne Arundel County buildings previously closed due to the coronavirus pandemic will open to the public once again on July 19, County Executive Steuart Pittman announced Tuesday morning.

Consistent with the Centers for Disease Control Guidelines, and New York and Connecticut State executive orders, face masks continue to be required regardless of your vaccination status, on all Metro-North trains, platforms and inside stations and the Terminal. CDC prevention measures continue to apply to all travelers, including those who are vaccinated. All travelers are required to wear a mask on all planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations. People who have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine (and are two weeks removed from their second dose) can now safely gather in small groups without masks, which is a good sign that the fight against the pandemic is working.
Even though the vaccines provide a certain amount of protection against contracting and spreading COVID-19, scientists are not 100 percent sure how long that protection will last. But, still, this limited freedom brings some relief. Could this really mean that fun to a certain extent is returning?
Maybe not so fast. The CDC says that we should continue to take precautions, like wearing a mask and social distancing, when out in the public among strangers. The new guidelines state, The level of precautions taken should be determined by the characteristics of the unvaccinated people, who remain unprotected against COVID-19.
MAT looking for youth actors
Havre Daily News Staff Montana Actors Theatre s Youth Program will be holding auditions Monday March 1 at 4 p.m. for a pair of one-act plays; Submerged: A Tragedy in One Act by H. Stuart Cottman and Le Vergne Shaw, and The Girl Who Was Asked to Turn Blue by Ev Miller. A press release from MAT says they are looking for young people grade 6 to 12 and no experience is necessary. It says participation in these plays is a unique opportunity for youth to explore character development and there will be all female and all male casts.
