Authorities are still looking into the cause of last week s fire at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Mount Olive, which engulfed the eatery in a maelstrom of flames, leaving little more than a charred exterior.
However, investigators from the Morris County Prosecutor s Office and Mount Olive police say the fire is not suspicious, according to a statement from Acting Prosecutor Robert Carroll.
Crews responded to the steakhouse in a shopping center in the Flanders section of Mount Olive, near Route 206, in the early-morning hours of Jan. 19, but could not quell the raging fire.

The cause of the blaze was still undetermined this week but the fire remained under investigation, according to a joint statement from Morris County Prosecutor’s Office or the Mount Olive Police Department.
The blaze that broke out during the early morning hours of Jan. 19 at the restaurant on International Drive couldn’t be brought under control and the building had to be demolished, the town’s fire marshal said last week.
The restaurant was closed and nobody was inside at the time of the fire, a spokeswoman for LongHorn Steakhouse told NJ Advance Media Monday afternoon.
MADISON Borough and Drew University police are working with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office to find a student who has been missing for a week.
Friends and relatives are worried because it is unlike the hardworking student to fall off the radar and not respond to messages.
Ajay Sah, a 22-year-old junior from Nepal, was last seen on the Madison campus the afternoon of Jan. 19. He was reported missing three days later.
Friends have posted on Facebook that the last activity on his credit card was the purchase of a train ticket to New York on Jan. 19.
Sah is 5 feet 6 inches, 125 pounds with black hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket and a gray hoodie.
Drew University student reported missing. Last seen boarding a train to NYC
MADISON A Drew University student was reported missing during the weekend and police are seeking the public s help to find him.
Ajay Sah, a junior and a resident advisor, was last seen on campus on Jan. 19. Since then, Sah has not responded to calls or messages from friends or his brother, which is out of character for him, according to university officials. This is very out of character for him, said Frank Merckx, Drew University vice president for enrollment management and student life. I ve been speaking with some colleagues and they say it’s normal for Sah to get in touch with you in a traditional time frame. But he has not been in touch with students here or his brother, which is alarming to us.

When Sussex County First Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Mueller takes on a new case in criminal court, it s not about winning, says his boss. It s his unwavering dedication to justice, Francis Koch, Sussex County prosecutor said of his second in command on Tuesday. That s what makes his career outstanding.
Instead, it s about seeking the truth and doing what he feels is right, Koch said of Mueller, who has served in law enforcement for over 25 years.
Those qualities are, in part, why Mueller was selected by the County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey as the winner of the 2020 Outstanding Advocacy Over the Course of a Career award last month. And why Mueller is the first assistant prosecutor in Sussex County to receive the honor, after being chosen from among 900 assistant prosecutors statewide.
