Finally We Can Buy the Best Spaghetti Sauce Again
A few months ago my family ran into a concerning shortage. No, it wasn t toilet paper or hand sanitizer, or cleaning wipes. We have lots of all of that. But we were out of our favorite spaghetti sauce.
During the peaks of the shortage, prices for this sauce packet, that normally goes for around $2 or less in any grocery store, were selling online for $10 or more.

I had purchased 12 packet cases from Amazon a couple of times and those were still available, but they were being sold for $50 or more. I like my spaghetti but not that much.
Excuse me! But what s happened to all the McCormick Thick & Zesty Spaghetti Sauce Mix? I have been to two grocery stores in the last two days and neither one had any. As a matter of fact, a stock person at one of the two stores told me, We don t have that anymore. He nearly needed a clean up on Aisle Three because I almost passed the hell out. You don t have that anymore? Well, that s not going to work for me. It s not going to work for my household at all.
Now, here s the thing. I don t use this mix as a stand alone product. No way! However, Kevin routinely adds this to other brands of pasta sauce to thicken them up and give them some additional zest. I had never even heard of McCormick until Kevin made meat sauce one night. He added a packet of McCormick s to it, plus his own special blend of Italian herbs and spices. I gotta say- it was REALLY good. And now, I am as hooked on it as he is.
