Officers Out of Hospital After Being Run Over Last Week
Two Yakima Officers run over by the driver of a stolen vehicle have been released from the hospital and are recovering at home. Sgts. Mike Henne and Mark Grow were both run over by the driver of a stolen vehicle in the east Yakima Walmart store last Tuesday afternoon. Sgt. Mike Henne is recovering from a fractured hip and Sgt. Mark Grow has a broken ankle. Both officers are expected to fully recover and both will be offered counseling to help them deal with the tragedy.
Meanwhile last Wednesday a 43-year-old man, identified as Salvador Munoz-Gonzalez arrested for running over the officers made an appearance in Yakima County Superior Court where bail was set at $250,000. He s facing charges of first-degree assault, eluding police and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Yakima Police Identify Officers Run Over Tuesday
Yakima Police have identified two officers injured after being run over by a stolen vehicle on Tuesday in east Yakima. They ve been identified as Sgts. Mike Henne and Mark Grow. One of the officers had a broken leg while the other has a broken hip as a result of the incident. One of the officers has been released from the hospital however police haven t said which officer was released.

Two Yakima Officers Recovering After Being Run Over Tuesday
Two Yakima Police Officers are recovering at a Yakima hospital after being run over by the driver of a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the East Yakima Walmart on Tuesday. The officers were called to the store at about 2:25 p.m. about a vehicle that had been stolen in a robbery in the lower valley earlier this week. The officers found the vehicle with two suspects inside. The officers tried to talk to the suspects but they immediately fled the scene and drove over the officers. One of the officers fired at the vehicle but no one was injured.
