Yakima Police Arrest 18-year-Old For Shooting Stepfather
Yakima Police are investigating the cities latest homicide. Officers were called to the 900 block of South 29th Avenue at about 10:42 p.m. Wednesday after getting reports of a victim in the area who had been shot. Authorities say they received a 911 call from an 18-year-old man, Jonathan Hildago who told them he had killed his stepfather. When officers arrived at the home they found a 45-year-old man dead in the home s living room. Police say he had been shot once in the head.
Detectives from the Yakima Police Department s Criminal Investigation Division say the 18-year-old Hildago thought his stepfather was molesting a young child in the home before the shooting. But police say an investigation into the allegations found no evidence that the child was being molested.
