Greater Noida: Only one hospital has responded to a proposal by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to build two 100-bed paediatric facilities off the Yamuna Expressway. YEIDA, which had in June offered two plots of 5,000sqm each in sectors 18 and 20 for the two hospitals, has been forced to extend the deadline for applications till this Friday. The lack of response to build the two paediatric hospitals comes at a time governments across the country are ramping up their health infrastructure in view of an apprehension that more children are likely to be affected during the third wave of Covid infections.
