A man shot in the leg by York City Police when he pointed a gun at officers has been sentenced to house arrest after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges.
The weapon was only a BB gun, but it looked like a real handgun, according to police.
Donovain Randolf Lee Saulisbury, 33, of the York area, pleaded guilty Thursday morning in York County Court to simple assault and making terroristic threats, and in exchange his other charges were dropped, court records state.
He was sentenced to five years probation, with the first six months on house arrest. Common Pleas Judge Harry M. Ness gave Saulisbury credit for the 30 days he s already spent in custody for this case, according to court records.

District Judge Richard Thomas imposed the fine against Mark Malinowski, 64, of Washington Township, for the summary offense, which is similar in severity to a traffic ticket. The York County District Attorney’s Office agreed to drop a misdemeanor charge of harassment.
Outside District Court 19-3-10 in Dillsburg, Rick Robinson, Malinowski’s attorney, described the plea agreement as a fair resolution.

A York City man accused of selling marijuana was on house arrest, wearing an electronic ankle cuff and in possession of guns including a ghost gun when police arrested him, authorities allege.
He was also in possession of body armor, according to court documents.
Derren James Williams, 24, of the 100 block of South Albemarle Street, is free on $15,000 bail, charged with five counts of drug possession with intent to deliver and one count unlawful possession of body armor, all felonies, plus lesser drug-possession charges, court records state.
