Palmer was later taken to York County Prison until he could post 10% of $5,000 bail. He also had to complete an evaluation for supervised bail, according to the report. Two days later, Palmer “exhibited increasingly bizarre and self-injurious behavior.”  Corrections officers removed him from his cell to receive medical attention, the report states, but he became unresponsive and died at York Hospital.
