Andrew Cuomo on Friday directed the State Police Hate Crimes Task Force to assist the NYPD’s investigation into hateful graffiti that was found spray-painted on a Brooklyn mosque. The NYPD says graffiti reading “death 2 Palestine” was discovered around 6:45 a.m. Thursday at the Tayba Islamic Center on Coney Island Avenue in the Homecrest neighborhood. No other property damage was reported and photos from WCBS 880’s Marla Diamond showed the mosque immediately covered the graffiti with paper.
