YORK COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - A teen was arrested on Saturday and charged with two felonies in connection to a 15-year-oldâs death.
Investigators with the York-Poquoson Sheriffâs Office arrested a 17-year-old boy from Newport News in connection to the murder of Jordan Miller, a 15-year-old boy from James City County.
The 17 year old, whose name was not released, was charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony. After his arrest, he was transported to the Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center in Williamsburg.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has charged a 17-year-old boy with murder in the Dec. 13 shooting death of another teen in York County.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 100 block of Drew Road in the Williamsburg area of York County at around 10:41 p.m. regarding the incident. There, they found 15-year-old Jordan Miller suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died, authorities said.
Investigators with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office arrested the suspect, who lives in Newport News, early this morning.
The teen is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in a felony, the sheriff’s office said. He was taken to the Merrimac Center. Authorities are not releasing his name because he is a juvenile.

Earlier today, December 16, 2020, at approximately 3.07 pm Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Windsor Lane for a call of someone needing medical attention, the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office said in a statement. Medics also arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital where he later passed away. Lorenzo Taliaferro was 28 years old. We cannot release any medical information. Our sincere condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to his family and friends.

The Baltimore Ravens revealed on Thursday (December 17) that former fullback Lorenzo Taliaferro has passed away at 28. Taliaferro was picked to join the Ravens in the fourth round of the NFL draft. He played three seasons for the team, scoring five touchdowns and rushing a total of 339 yards.
Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh released a statement on the team s Twitter page, which reads: We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Lorenzo Taliaferro. Lorenzo was a kind, smart, respectful, and determined young man- someone always committed to their teammates and well-liked by everyone in our organization. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lorenzo s family. May he rest in peace.
