PARENTS and carers are being urged to consider the risks of the online world as children receive new games and gadgets this Christmas. With technology gifts high on wish lists, North Yorkshire’s Safeguarding Children Partnership (NYSCP) is making sure children can navigate the internet safely. “Video game systems, social media and other platforms bring risks such as cyber bullying, privacy problems and seeing age inappropriate content,” said Stuart Carlton, North Yorkshire’s corporate director for children and young people’s services.
