The Yucca Valley Planning Commission will convene tonight at 6 p.m. for standard measures such as minutes approval and native plant permits. The largest permit to be approved is the removal of 19 Mojave Yucca and the transplantation of three Western Joshua Trees from a home off Imperial Drive. The meeting began with a quick approval of six separate native plant permits. Following, the commissioners began their selection and approval process for the positions of Planning Commission chair and vice chair. Commissioner Matthew Thomas was selected to serve as the chair, with Commissioner James Henderson assuming the role of vice chair. The meeting concluded with the commission receiving and filing its General Plan Annual Housing Progress Report.

Following, the Planning Commission will discuss a development update for Blue Star RV, and will approve previously requested alterations to the signage of the Rite Aid located at 57701 Twentynine Palms Highway.
