LANE COUNTY, Ore. More first responders in our community are rolling up their sleeves to receive the COVID-19 vaccine after the first doses from Moderna were delivered to the Eugene Springfield Fire Department on Wednesday.
They were given 1,000 doses which they say will be distributed to fire, EMS, and police personnel in Lane County who want the vaccine.
The vaccine is voluntary and not mandatory. Those who choose to get vaccinated will get the second round of the vaccination in 24-32 days. The shots will be given at the Emergency Services Center on W. 2nd Ave. and Chambers St. in Eugene.
