2 Vehicle Wreck Tues. PM On I-24 Jul 27, 2021 at 08:38 pm by WGNS (RUTHERFORD COUNTY)  A trailer truck and a large Uhaul box truck collided on I-24 Tuesday (7/27/2021) evening and the tractor jack-knifed with the trailer. The incident occured at the 90 mile marker (between Buchanan Road and Beechgrove) in the westbound lane (toward Nashville).  Trooper Elliot reports that a Ford F-650 U-Haul truck and pulling a trailer was traveling westbound near the 90mm. That vehicle attempted to make a lane change in front of Freightliner tractor trailer truck. The trailer being pulled by the U-Haul truck struck the front of big rig while changing lanes and caused the tractor trailer rig to run off the roadway. The Ford F-650 U-Haul  stopped on the right shoulder with a flat tire on the trailer. The tire was changedand the U-Haul continued without a tow.
