Dr. Shamsheer’s contribution is part of the large response from companies, businessmen and community members in the UAE and abroad in support of the campaign, which was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Chairman of Tiger Group donates AED1 million to 100 Million Meals
DUBAI, 27th April, 2021 (WAM) The Chairman of Tiger Group, Engineer Waleed El Zoubi, and his sons, donated AED1 million to the 100 Million Meals campaign, the first humanitarian campaign of its kind in the Arab world to provide food parcels for disadvantaged individuals and families across 30 countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and South America during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The 100 Million Meals campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, is managed by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, in cooperation with the UN World Food Programme, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, Food Banking Regional Network, and local food banks and humanitarian and charity institutions in beneficiary countries.

Mona Kattan, Sacha Jafri, Sima Ved were among those who put their money where their heart is to help provide meals to the needy as part of the ‘100 Million Meals’ Live charity art auction.
The ‘100 Million Meals’ Live charity art auction held in Dubai on Saturday demonstrated the extraordinary level at which the art world can contribute to charitable causes. The charity auction recorded a sell-out of all valuable items, raising over Dh36.67 million, which will help provide 36,673,000 meals to the needy in 20 countries throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
