Istanbul, 3. August, AZERTAC Noch immer toben in der brüderlichen Türkei schwere Waldbrände. Insgesamt wurden in der Türkei inzwischen 154 Waldbrände in 38 Provinzen registriert. 145 davon seien gelöscht. Tausende Feuerwehrleute, darunter auch Feuerwehrleute aus Aserbaidschan, kämpfen seit Tagen gegen die Flammen. Präsident Recep Tayyip Erdogan dankte seinem aserbaidschanischen Kollegen Ilham Aliyev für Unterstützung im Kampf gegen verheerende Waldbrände, wie das türkische Büro von AZERTAC in Istanbul berichtet. Zugleich dankte er dem russischen Präsidenten Wladimir Putin für die Entsendung von Hubschraubern und Löschflugzeugen. Im Namen seines Landes danke er auch dem spanischen Premierminister Pedro Sanchez, seinen ukrainischen, iranischen und kroatischen Kollegen sowie dem Emir von Katar für ihre Solidarität.
