Among the eight State-specific natural disasters - lightning, whirlwind, tornado, heavy rain, sunstroke, boat accident, drowning, and snakebite - the booklets have been prepared on drowning.

BHUBANESWAR : Taking disaster management education ahead, Utkal University has come out with illustrative booklets for rural school students at elementary level to make them understand natural calamities in a simplified manner. The booklets were launched on Sunday on the occasion of World Drowning Prevention Day.

The plan of having a state-of-the-art incubation centre at Andhra University College of Engineering is gaining pace and is likely to go operational by February 15 next year.
It has been decided to name the incubation centre as Andhra University Next Tech Gen and according to the Vice-Chancellor P.V.G.D. Prasad Reddy, former ITAAP president Ravi Eswarapu has been appointed as CEO of the incubation centre.
