Synopsis
Private steel companies supplying oxygen are Tata Steel, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AMNS India), JSW Steel, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) and Vedanta ESL, while state-owned firms are Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL).

Steelmakers have supplied about 1.43 metric tonne (MT) liquid medical oxygen to various parts of the country for the treatment of coronavirus patients. From September 2020 to April 22, 2021, the total LMO supplied by the steel industry including public and private sectors was 1,43,876.283 MT, of which the contribution of steel CPSEs stood at 39, 805.73 MT, as per data provided by the Steel Ministry.

MUMBAI: The first Oxygen Express carrying liquid medical oxygen tankers from Visakhapatnam reached Nashik in Maharashtra on Saturday morning.
The train reached Nasik Road station at 10.25 am, where four tankers were unloaded, the Central Railway (CR) said in a statement.
Tweeting about it, Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal said, Oxygen Express train loaded with liquid medical oxygen tankers from Vizag has reached Nashik. 4 Oxygen tankers have been unloaded to provide additional oxygen to the patients.

The first Oxygen Express train pulled in a train station in Maharashtra s Nagpur

The first Oxygen Express train that left Visakhapatnam on Thursday arrived in Maharashtra s Nagpur this evening with seven tankers carrying the life-saving medical gas amid the deadly second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Three of the seven tankers have been unloaded at Nagpur Junction railway station, news agency ANI reported.
The train carrying the large oxygen tankers pulled out from a facility run by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) in Visakhapatnam on Thursday evening.
Each tanker is carrying 15 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen. A joint effort by Waltair Division of East Coast Railways, and officials of RINL made the project a success. This will prove to be highly beneficial during the recent upsurge in COVID-19, the railways said in a statement on Thursday.
