Two former top officials of the National Sports Club of India (NSCI)’s managing committee, along with three interior designers, have been booked for allegedly cheating the club of Rs 58 crore by inflating bills for contracts, clearing payments for incomplete works and cooking the books to conceal the fraud.
The Worli club, considered to be one of the richest in India, hosts one of the largest event venues in the country the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium that can seat 5,000 people.
