CLARKSVILLE, TN – Following a brief hiatus due to Gov. Bill Lee’s executive orders limiting gatherings, movies are returning to the corner of Franklin and First in downtown Clarksville.

Dr. Seuss’ THE CAT IN THE HAT
Friday, March 5 @ 7:00pm
Sponsored by Waterdogs SCUBA & Safety, this hilarious live-action film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ beloved tale follows two bored children who have their lives turned upside down when a talking cat comes to visit them. Mike Myers stars in the title role as the mischievous feline with the red-and-white striped magical stovepipe hat, who arrives at the home of young Sally and Conrad while their mother is out. The family’s pet fish objects to his presence, but that doesn’t stop the trouble-making Cat in the Hat from trying to have fun no matter how much destruction is left

CLARKSVILLE, TN – After a delayed start due to the ongoing pandemic, the spring session of the Roxy Regional School of the Arts will finally be underway next week.
A few slots still remain for those budding young performers and adults interested in honing their craft or discovering a new passion, but time is running out. Registration ends this Saturday, February 27.
Since 1995, the Roxy Regional Theatre has been introducing youth to the experience of live theatre and expanding their knowledge of the craft through the School of the Arts. While in the past the program has only been offered to youth, last fall the School of the Arts was expanded to also serve adults 18 years of age and older.
Clarksville City Council OKs Roxy purchase on final reading
The Clarksville City Council agreed to buy the downtown Roxy Regional Theatre property Thursday night, with the long-term goal of transforming it into a full-fledged performing arts center.
The decision marked what could prove to be another milestone moment in the redevelopment and resurgence of downtown adding a performing arts center as an anchor of it all, along with Montgomery County s multipurpose events center and various private retail projects.
Some council members voted in favor, but with the understanding that they would be actively engaged in the decision-making process of transforming the property, including who can use it.
