10% beds in Covid Care Centres to have O2 facility Bangalore Mirror Bureau / Updated: Apr 26, 2021, 06:11 IST Covid Care Centres patients running from one hospital to another in search of beds with oxygen facility, the State government has directed the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to ensure oxygen facility is available in 10 per cent of the beds provided in the Covid Care Centres ( CCC). Currently, all the eight zones in the City have such centres in addition to the two similar facilities managed by the BBMP’s head office. The instructions to provide 10 per cent of the beds with oxygen facility in the CCCs were given by Chief Secretary P Ravikumar.

With the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the city, BBMP-run schools and colleges have remained closed. The State government recently announced its decision to allow reopening of schools and colleges for SSLC and PUC students, and BBMP institutions will be reopening from January 1.
