: Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma said that when the State government reached out to the Serum Institute of India (SII) it was told that no vaccines were available till May 15.
The Union government had announced opening the third round of vaccines for all above 18 years of age.
“When we reached out the Serum Institute, to procure additional stock of vaccines for the May 1 onward drive to vaccinate all above 18 years of age. We were told that the Institute will not be able to give any doses till May 15. They said that they are booked till then delivering orders to the Centre,” Mr. Sharma said.

Rajasthan govt launches COVID-19 helpline ANI | Updated: Apr 25, 2021 14:17 IST
Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], April 25 (ANI): Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma on Sunday informed that the state has started a COVID-19 helpdesk that will function 24 hours from today. The helpline numbers are 2225624 and 2225000. Director RCH Dr. Laxman Singh Ola will be incharge of this helpdesk. You can avail help from any district of the state and register your complaints, said the Minister.
Raghu Sharma also talked about the requirement of oxygen in Rajasthan and said, We have nearly 14,389 oxygen supported beds and 4,477 ICU beds are available. There is no shortage of beds. However, it is important that the Centre provides us oxygen in the required amount. Till now 140 MT liquid medical oxygen has been allotted to us by the government. However, our requirement is more than 250MT.

Apart from it, 42,886 beds have been kept in isolation wards for infection patients at over 400 hospitals in the State, Raghu Sharma said in a statement. Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], April 19 (ANI): Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma on Monday said that while 1,200 metric tonne oxygen was being supplied to Gujarat, his state got only 124 metric tonne even though both have similar COVID-19 situations. Bhiwadi s liquid medical oxygen (LMO) plant was under our control last time and there was no shortage. This time the Centre has brought all LMO generation plants and distribution under it, Sharma said. There are equal number of COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan and Gujarat. In Gujarat, 1,200 metric tonne oxygen is being supplied, whereas Rajasthan is getting only 124 metric tonne, the state minister said.
