ISL 2020-2021: NorthEast stay on course for top-4 berth

NorthEast United FC continued their quest for a top-four spot in Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2020-21 with a 2-1 win over SC East Bengal at the Fatorda Stadium here yesterday.
Suhair Vadakkepeedika opened the scoring for NorthEast in the second half and Sarthak Golui kicked the ball into his own net before scoring at the right end of the pitch late in the game for SC East Bengal.
The second half also saw Raju Gaikwad being sent off following a second yellow card.

Goa, Feb 23 : NorthEast United inched closer to a playoffs berth with a 2-1 win over 10-man SC East Bengal in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Fatorda Stadium on Tuesday.
Suhair Vadakkepeedika s (48th minute) strike and an own goal from Sarthak Golui (55th) put the Highlanders ahead before the latter pulled a goal back in the 87th minute.
The win took Khalid Jamil s side back into the top four. They now have 30 points from 19 matches, level on points with FC Goa in third. The Highlanders now need just a point from their final league match against Kerala Blasters to qualify for the playoffs.
