Jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Yadav was granted bail in a case linked to the Bihar fodder scam by the Jharkhand High Court today. The former Bihar chief minister was serving his sentence in what was known as the Dumka Treasury Case , where he was convicted of withdrawing Rs 3.13 crore from the treasury in the city in Jharkhand, formerly in Bihar.
Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav can now walk out of jail after the Jharkhand High Court on Saturday granted him bail in a fodder scam case related to withdrawal of money from Dumka treasury.

Ranchi: In a major respite to jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad, the Jharkhand High Court on Saturday granted him bail in a case related to the fodder scam, paving way for his release from prison.
The case pertains to fraudulent withdrawals of Rs 3.13 crore from the Dumka treasury in Bihar, when Lalu Prasad was the chief minister.
The RJD leader, presently admitted to Delhi s AIIMS for treatment, was earlier granted bail in three out of the four cases linked to the fodder scam in Bihar. He can now walk out of jail and return to his home after being released from the hospital.
