Big names in the NFL are looking for jobs because of a shrinking salary cap

Rudolph has spent his entire 10-year NFL career in Minnesota, earning two Pro Bowl nods and helping lead the Vikings to three playoff berths.    Rudolph was set to give Minnesota a $9.45 million cap hit in 2021, but now the Vikings will save $5.1 million after his release.  Rudolph was a fan favorite in Minnesota, and he even penned a letter thanking the organization, fans, and community in The Player s Tribune. The two offensive tackles have been bookends on the Chiefs offensive line together since Schwartz was acquired in 2016, who went on to be a first-tea

Giants news 3/11: Shaq Barrett, Daniel Jones, more

Giants news 3/11: Shaq Barrett, Daniel Jones, more New York Giants news for Thursday Age: 28 Market value (annual): $19.7 million There’s still much to be figured out when it comes to Leonard Williams, but what the Giants already know is they can’t afford to lose more pass rush talent, and especially when they need to try and add someone to make their defensive line more robust. Enter Barrett, an absolute monster for the Buccaneers, who is coming off of a franchise tag and a Super Bowl win now looking to cash in BIG in free agency and lacking another tag (given to receiver Chris Godwin). Having logged a monstrous 27.5 sacks over his last two seasons, Barrett would be a defensive force not seen in a Giants uniform in a long time, and he’s worth

Levine Toilolo will return to Giants on restructured contract report Veteran blocking tight end will be back for second year with Giants Photo by Patrick McDermott/Getty Images The New York Giants are retaining veteran blocking tight end Levine Toilolo on a re-structured contract, per Ian Rapoport. Toilolo had been set to make $2.95 million in 2021, the second year of a two-year, $6.2 million free agent deal he signed with the Giants last offseason. The 29-year-old Toilolo was primarily a blocker and special teams player. He caught just 5 passes in 16 games while playing 275 snaps. 27 percent of the offensive plays. No details of the new deal have been released. As Ralph Vacchiano of SNY already tweeted, it’s hard to imagine this “restructure” is anything more than a pay cut. Toilolo’s skill set is a replaceable one, and extending his contract would be hard to understand. I have been advocating moving on from Toilolo, and I’m surprised the Giants didn’t take the f
