ROBSTOWN, Texas â Corpus Christi s City Manager Peter Zanoni has announced that future COVID-19 mega vaccination clinics at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown will be first come, first serve from now on.
During the region s trial run last week, residents could either pre-register online, or register on-site to receive the vaccine. After the some re-assessing, Zanoni has clarified that pre-registration will no longer be an option, and all patrons will be registered on-site on a first come, first serve basis.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas As COVID-19 vaccines continue to roll out, more people are voicing their concerns for the homebound elderly who are in the Phase 1B category, but still haven t been able to receive the shot. I talked to at least 15 of my patients during the telephone visit and none of them were able to get the vaccine, said Dr. Salim Surani with Christus Spohn Health Systems. They all are 70 plus.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â There are citizens in the Coastal Bend who are upset and concerned with the way the city and county are dealing with the mega vaccination clinics in Robstown.
Mayor of Corpus Christi Paulette Guajardo described the vaccination events at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds as imperfect but successful, because they were still able to vaccinate thousands of people.
âWe are definitely trying and making improvements,â Guajardo said.
When asked about what those improvements are she said traffic, access to bathrooms, and the communication between city and county officials are priorities in making the mega vaccination events even more successful.

NUECES COUNTY â Nueces Countyâs Judge Barbara Canales is praising this last weekâs efforts to get state-allocated COVID-19 vaccines to the most vulnerable residents in the Coastal Bend.
The city of Corpus Christi announced that over 9,000 vaccinations were given to Coastal Bend residents in
Phase 1A and 1B. While the mega vaccination clinic at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds had a rocky start at the beginning of the week, Judge Canales praised the improvement of operations as the week progressed.
