North Central District Court Judge Richard Hagar deferred her 360-day sentence and ordered her to pay $325 in court costs. The charge will be dismissed if Deschamp complies with court conditions. On Oct. 28 Deschamp voted once in person and also filled out an absentee ballot. Deschamp told authorities that when she placed her regular ballot into the voting machine she did not get a response and didn’t think it registered. She then decided to drop the absentee form into the slot for those ballots.

North Central District Court Judge Richard Hagar deferred her 360-day sentence and ordered her to pay $325 in court costs. The charge will be dismissed if Deschamp complies with court conditions, the Minot Daily News reported.

ajohnson@minotdailynews.com Edward Sandoval, 63, Minot, was sentenced on April 21 to 360 days in jail, all suspended but the three days he has already served, and two years of supervised probation for Class C felony burglary on Oct. 5, 2020. Judge Richard Hagar also ordered Sandoval to pay $1,100 in court costs. The C felony will be reduced to a Class A misdemeanor if Sandoval successfully completes probation. According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the homeowner saw a white Chevy Impala parked in his driveway when he arrived home and Sandoval and his co-defendant Tyler Lance Zietz, 35, were inside the residence without his permission. The homeowner asked what they were doing in his house and they claimed they had been sent to clean the property by a local real estate management company. The homeowner has no affiliation with that company. The company also told police that they had not given permission for Sandoval and Zietz to clean that property.
