VMI fell by a 23-6 score against #19-ranked Richmond Saturday afternoon at Drill Field No. 2.
The Keydets (1-2, 0-1) scored three goals in the first period but were unable to get a rhythm going the rest of the way. The Spiders (2-3, 1-0 SoCon) started quick with nine goals in the first period to jump out to a big advantage early on.

RICHMOND, Va. One person has been hospitalized and multiple residents have been displaced after a fire broke out in an apartment at a high-rise senior living facility in Richmond Saturday night.
Crews were dispatched to the Dominion Place apartments at 1025 W. Grace Street around 8:15 p.m.

On Macdonald Ave. Tuesday, hundreds of “boxes of hope” containing Christmas dinners were handed out to community members in need. Meanwhile on Bissell Ave., families got books along with their frozen turkeys and pies. And over on S. 16th St., donated Christmas dinners came with gift cards.
Such events came at a critical time for community members facing mounting economic hardships from the COVID-19 pandemic.
