Health director: 80% of Henderson County population needs to be vaccinated for herd immunity

Health director: 80% of Henderson County population needs to be vaccinated for herd immunity Henderson County has a long way to go before achieving herd immunity against COVID-19. Herd immunity,  also known as population immunity, is the indirect protection from an infectious disease that happens when a population is immune either through vaccination or immunity developed through previous infection, according to the World Health Organization.
