ReNew Power Selects Gujarat for Development of New Solar Component Manufacturing Facility

ReNew Power Selects Gujarat for Development of New Solar Component Manufacturing Facility State-of-the-art facility will manufacture solar cells and modules Around 100 acres allocated for greenfield project, ensuring sufficient land for future expansion ReNew s sustainability initiatives to ensure creation of a Green Factory News provided by Share this article Share this article GURGAON, India, May 17, 2021 /PRNewswire/  ReNew Power ( ReNew or the Company ), India s leading renewable energy company, today announced its intention to develop a solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Dholera Special Industrial Region (DSIR), approximately 100 km outside the city of Ahmedabad, in the state of Gujarat. The greenfield facility will manufacture 2 gigawatts (GW) of solar cells and modules annually using state-of-the-art monocrystalline PERC (Passivated Emitter & Rear Contact) and large wafer technology and will implement best practices in line with Industry 4.0 manufac

Imec realises 18 6% efficient near transparent perovskite solar cell

Imec realises 18.6% efficient near transparent perovskite solar cell Solliance partners TNO, imec/EnergyVille and the Eindhoven University of Technology, realized a 18.6% efficient highly near infrared transparent perovskite solar cell. When combined in a four terminal tandem configuration with an efficient Panasonic crystalline silicon (c-Si) cell or with a Miasolé flexible CIGS cell, delivers new record power conversion efficiencies of 28.7% and 27.0%, respectively. Tandem technology offers a viable and attractive route to increase the efficiency of commercial solar cells and modules. Four terminal tandems allow to build on experience and practices already available in the industry. In addition, four terminal perovskite/c-Si tandems can be applied broadly and are, for example, very beneficial in combination with bifacial c-Si solar cells which, depending on the actual albedo, can readily achieve a total power generation density as high as 320 W/m².
