Yannick Cupido, 24, was fatally attacked shortly before 1am on February 14 in Managua Close, Reading. The young man was pronounced deas at the scene in Caversham. Thames Valley Police launched an ongoing murder investigation and today (May 4) has charged another person in connection with the investigation. Managua Close. It follows on from Joseph O’Neal , aged 28, of Amersham Road, Caversham, being charged with one count of murder on February 17 in connection with the incident.

Police car THAMES Valley Police has charged two people in connection with an attack in which a teenage boy was seriously assaulted and robbed in Reading. A 16-year-old boy from Reading, who was arrested on January 5, was charged on Wednesday (April 14) with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and three counts of attempted robbery. He was bailed to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 5. Jan Watroba, aged 20, of Zinzan Street, Reading, who was arrested on January 15, was charged on Wednesday (April 14) with three counts of attempted robbery. He was bailed to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on June 9.
House front A ROGUE TRADER who attempted to scam an elderly resident out of over £30,000 has been convicted after a successful prosecution last Friday. Kevin Patrick Dunphy of Guildford Road, Woking, pleaded guilty on behalf of himself and his company, The Roofing Firm, at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 9. Charges against Mr Dunphy included engaging in a misleading commercial practice in breach of the Consumer Protection Act 2008. Mr Dunphy was ordered to pay costs totalling £6,490, including a £3,550 fine, and a victim surcharge of £190, to be paid in monthly instalments. Mr Dunphy was also disqualified from being a company director for two years, commencing on April 30.
