Moderna vaccine clinic scheduled Saturday in Elder-Beerman building
RICHMOND, Ind. The Wayne County Health Department has scheduled a special Moderna COVID-19 vaccine clinic for Saturday.
The Moderna vaccine, which is approved for ages 18 and older, will be available 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in the former Elder-Beerman building, 601 E. Main St., according to a news release. Appointments are encouraged, although walk-ins will be accepted.
The health department also offers the Moderna vaccine 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through April in the Elder-Beerman building. Again, appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are available.

Reid Health provides the Pfizer vaccine inside Kuhlman Center at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, 861 N. Salisbury Road. The Pfizer vaccine is approved for ages 16 and older.
RICHMOND, Ind. Students, faculty and staff members of three Richmond colleges are eligible for upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
Reid Health and Indiana University East are partnering to offer vaccinations to students, faculty and staff of IU East, Ivy Tech Community College Richmond and Purdue Polytechnic Richmond. Out-of-state residents who are enrolled or employed at the schools are eligible to receive vaccinations during the clinic.
Family members, however, are not eligible, and the clinic is not available to the public.
The first clinic will be 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at IU East s Student Events Center. Those receiving Pfizer vaccine doses that day should then plan to receive their second shots of the two-dose Pfizer protocol 7 a.m.-7 p.m. April 29.
