Missing girl Lisa Todd ID d through skeletal remains found in Bensalem

When Lisa Todd left her Frankford home for the last time she took a pair of designer jeans, a purple camisole, a white patterned dress, two pairs of shoes, black mesh stockings and two rings.  It was October 1985. Senior year at Frankford High School was underway, but not for Lisa. She dropped out as a freshman. Lisa’s 18th birthday was two months away, but she was already dealing with adult responsibilities. She had a 2-year-old son and now a second baby due in just three months. Where Lisa Todd went that October day, and what happened, are questions that remain unanswered.

BENSALEM, Pennsylvania (WPVI) Authorities have identified the skeletal remains of a woman discovered 33 years ago at the old Publicker Distillery in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. On Tuesday, the woman was identified as 17-year-old Lisa Todd from Philadelphia. Authorities are still trying to figure out the circumstances surrounding her suspicious death. Pregnant ladies don t just fall into wells and die. Something happened, said Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub. Authorities said in October 1985 an unidentified woman was reported missing in Philadelphia. In 1988, her skeletal remains were found in a well that used to be the Publicker Distillery along State Road in Bensalem.

On Tuesday night, Bucks County prosecutors presented the genome sequencing and DNA test results that they used to positively identify the victim as Todd, who was 17 when she died, 6ABC reported.  An investigation that began with a forensic sculpture in 1988 took leaps forward with the aid of DNA analysis, enabling authorities to raise new questions about the circumstances that led to Todd s death. Pregnant ladies don’t just fall into wells and die, Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said a press conference. Something happened. The DNA testing took place over the course of several years. DNA was first extracted from the skeletal remains in 2007 and later from fetal bones in 2017 and 2020. When Bensalem detectives reached out to Todd s living relatives in Philadelphia, genealogists were able to construct a family tree.

Robbinsville Police Take Active Role in Interstate Investigation of 1,000 Thefts by One Suspect

March 8, 2021 at 5:16 PM ROBBINSVILLE, NJ  The Robbinsville Township Police Department (RPD) announced on Monday the ongoing role of the Criminal Investigations Unit in an interstate investigation that has lead to the arrest of one man accused of committing more than 1,000 thefts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey over an 18-month timeframe.  According to RPD, in late 2019 the suspect allegedly committed overnight thefts from unlocked vehicles between the hours of 3:00am and 6:00am. Surveillance video that was obtained during the investigation captured the suspect wearing a “gaiter” type mask, dark sweat pants, gloves and carrying a satchel. Investigation into these crimes developed that the same actor was responsible for thefts in Pennsylvania as well.
