The suspected killer, Rony Arturo Garcia, was a fugitive until recently, when he was arrested in New York state on new criminal charges, according to Nikki Thompson, chief humane officer for the Bucks County SPCA.

Additional child porn charges filed against Upper Hanover man, Bucks County cop

NORRISTOWN — Already awaiting trial on charges he possessed child pornography, an Upper Hanover man who worked as a police officer with the Hilltown Township Police Department in Bucks County saw charges mount this week after detectives uncovered additional images on his electronic devices. Matthew Reiss, 47, of the 1000 block of Ziegler Road in the Palm section of Upper Hanover, was arraigned on July 15 before District Court Judge Suzan Leonard on the additional felony charges of possessing child pornography. According to new court papers, Reiss now faces 1,695 felony counts of possessing child pornography after a forensic analysis of items seized from Reiss’ residence uncovered 1,437 image files and 258 video files depicting children under the age of 18 engaged in sexual acts or posing nude. At least 84 of the images and videos depicted toddlers and infants, according to the criminal complaint filed by Montgomery County detectives.
