Regina mayor calls for booting cars to help collect more than $500K in unpaid parking tickets
Mayor Sandra Masters said the previous council decided to go the collections route, rather than focusing on enforcement.

Regina Mayor Sandra Masters says Monday’s federal budget had good news for the City when it comes to upgrading and building municipal infrastructure.
“The federal government’s commitment to double its investment in cities across the country via the Canada Community-Building Fund for one year is important and welcome news for the City of Regina,” Masters said in a release issued Monday afternoon. “This funding is essential to making many of our city’s infrastructure projects possible, including the improvement of approximately 150 km of Regina residential roads between 2018 and 2023. I was very pleased to see the recommendations from FCM’s Western Economic Solutions Taskforce, with new investments made in trade infrastructure and regional economic growth. The federal focus on spurring economic growth is appreciated.”

Mayor Sandra Masters said council was elected to do what s best for the economic growth of the city and people can choose differently in the next election.
