ALIBAUG: At least four people were killed and three injured when a truck hit them on a 15-km stretch of Murud-Roha Road in Maharashtra s Raigad district, police said on Thursday.
The incident took place around 7.30pm on Wednesday, when a truck carrying some materials from a factory in Salav hit three persons near Cheher and Aamli villages, an official said.
The vehicle moved on without halting and knocked over a two-wheeler carrying a family of three near Nhave village, he said.
Primary school teacher Laxman Babu Dhebe (42), his wife Rameshvari (38) and 13-year-old son Rohit were killed on the spot, the official said.

Poladpur on Friday evening. Along with two casualties, it has also left 65 other passengers injured.
As per preliminary information, the passengers were returning in the tempo after attending a wedding at
Satara Kondushi.
The driver lost control and the vehicle fell plunged 250 feet into the gorge, a police official said.

The accident took place in Lekhanagar on Mumbai-Agra Highway in Nashik city after their motorcycles were hit by a truck.
Police have recovered two dead bodies so far and the injured have been sent to the government hospital at Poladpur.
