ELKINS It was announced Monday that the Randolph County Clerk’s office will be closed until Feb. 3.
The office, which is located at the James Cain Courthouse Annex, was shut down after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, officials said. No other staff members in the office have tested positive as of Monday.
“We’ve taken all the precautions and done everything we’ve needed to do to avoid someone in the office getting COVID,” said Randolph County Clerk Brenda Wiseman. “We’ve all been wearing our masks, washing our hands, using sanitizer, and anything else we could do to be safe. You just can’t seem to stay away from it.”
