After its anniversary on March 18, the Randolph County Senior Adult Association served over 100,000 meals, 4,000 more meals ever served between its four locations in Asheboro, Archdale, Liberty, Randleman, and outer areas such as Trinity.
The non-profit organization started in 1975, improving the quality of life and serving as advocates for residents 50 and older.
According to Executive Director Mark Hensley, the senior center for local homes covered and delivered meals, provided transportation through Regional Coordinated Area Transportation Systems, provided health screenings.

Due to the pandemic and advice from the Board of Governors, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and the Randolph County Public Health Department, the office closed and ceased activity on March 18, 2020.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. The Randolph County Public Health COVID vaccine clinic scheduled for Saturday at the North Carolina Zoo has been cancelled.
According to the Randolph County Health Department, those who were scheduled for the event either attended the Randolph Health vaccine clinic held at the zoo last weekend or have been called to reschedule their appointment.
Randolph County health officials said the Randolph County Public Health department only holds vaccine clinics by appointment only.
