UP: Ram temple trust buys more land to expand complex to 107 acres

Lucknow: The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Tuesday bought a 676.85 sq metre adjoining land for Rs 1 crore to increase the 70 acres of Ram Lala temple complex to an area of sprawling 107 acres.
The Trust General secretary Champat Rai bought this piece of land from its owner Swami Deepnarayan for Rs 1 crore. The registry of the land was done on Tuesday. The land is next to the famous Asharfi Bhawan, adjoining the 70 acre temple complex.
The BJP MLA from Gosainganj I.P. Tiwari and Trust senior member and RSS Ayodhya Pracharak Dr Anil Mishra were the witnesses in signing the registry papers for the land deal.
Prior to the crowdfunding campaign launch on January 15, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had projected an estimate of Rs 1,100 crore for the Ram temple complex construction, but it has received Rs 1,000 crore more than what was projected.

Bengaluru, Feb 27: The Pejawar Muth seer Vishwaprasanna Teertha, who is a trustee of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said on Saturday it was improper for people to question accountability of the temple fund collection when the drive was still underway. It is inappropriate to say at this stage when the drive is underway.The process has to complete first, the seer said at the launch of an art installation of the Ram Temple with Lord Ram prepared using coins of Rs 5 and Re 1 of more than Rs 2 lakh.

Bengaluru, Feb 28 : Hitting out at the critics of fundraising campaign for the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya at Uttar Pradesh, Pejawar Math seer Vishwaprasanna Teertha, said on Saturday that the Trust had collected Rs 2,100 crore from across the country, but how could anyone give account of funds, even while the drive is on.
Participating in a religious function that was organised by the Rashtradharma Organisation here, the seer who is also one of the trustee of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, observed that it was improper for people to question accountability of the fundraising drive even when the drive was still underway.
